I just love getting ready for Christmas!!

It has been such a busy and stressful time so far but I feel like we are on the home stretch! I felt like I wanted to make it all perfect for Bella because it is her first Christmas, but I have finally realized she is never going to remember anyway! This photo and Christmas card were done by my very talented friend, Ashley Bennett, who is amazing! I feel like a "real" family now, doing things I never imagined I would do like sending out family Christmas cards, taking my baby to see Santa (she did so well and totally smiled!!), decorating my house and attempting to bake cookies...such fun! Happy holidays to everyone, I can't wait to post more pics of Bella's first Christmas holiday and to spend time with family!

Way too long!

I know, I know, it has been FOREVER since I've updated this....I'm sorry but honestly, life could not be busier!

In the space of 2.5 months we have gone on a fun trip to Spain, moved house, and bought a new business!

First: the holiday!
It was amazing, so much fun and way too short! We flew into London Gatwick airport and met my mom and stepdad there....a few hours later we were on a flight to Mallorca, Spain! It was end of season so the weather wasn't super hot, but it was still beautiful, I just loved the beaches! The culture there is so fabulous, I love the history and the architecture, probably my favourite part! Bella was so good, she ate what we ate and her first time in the ocean was so much fun! Her first time crawling was also in the sand, so cute, and so special because it was with my mom! We did some great shopping (thanks mom!!), saw some amazing sights and ate some great food! I will post some pics shortly!

Next: the business!! We bought Beautiful Bride here in Calgary, and boy has it been a rollercoaster! Karli and Nolan are co-owners with us and I'm sure some good times are ahead! It has been super busy, there is a lot to do just to get but hopefully things will level out soon...

And...we moved! We are now even further south in Calgary, but we love it...best part? There is carpet for Bella to crawl on, not just hardwood! Yay! Oh, and not to mention a yard and fantastic bonus room to play in!

Busy, busy...

We are 3 days away from leaving for a 2 week holiday and I'm so stressed out! This honestly could not come at a better time...or a worse one! We are going to visit my mother in England and then on to Majorca. Between packing for that, packing my house (we are moving in November!), dealing with a teething baby and a new business, I feel like I am going crazy!! Never a dull moment, I swear...Bella is getting so big now, too, we really have to keep our eyes on her at all times! Mason caught her trying to climb out of her crib, so needless to say that was lowered in a hurry! She is already 9 months old and has such a sassy little personality I love it! Always smiling and giggling, and she "talks" all the time too! She can say mama (said that first!!) and dada, it is just too much fun!

So we are moving to a new community here in Calgary, and we are very excited as it has a lake!! Anyone who knows of someone wanting to rent a townhouse let us know!

It is so crazy busy around here but I can't help but feel so excited at all the changes happening!

Welcome to my crazy blogging world!

So, although I swore I'd never do a blog, here we are...the main reason why I didn't want to do such a thing is because I barely have time to check email, I'm not very creative (and I didn't want an ugly blog!) and basically because I didn't think I'd have anything that interesting to post! But now that we have left the Facebook bandwagon, I've decided to do this to update friends and family on the exciting times of our lives!

Here is an overview of the last few years: we got married in Jamaica in July 2005, were sealed in the Cardston Temple in August 2006, and we received the most amazing gift in the world on December 29 2007...our little girl Isabella. We are currently living in Calgary where Mason runs a super successful painting company (we are so proud of him!) and I am a busy mom in the process of buying a bridal store! It is a crazy life but we love it, there is never a dull moment and I hope you all enjoy reading my insane entries!

I promise that as I get the hang of this I'll beautify the site and make it more interesting...that may take some time though!!
